From the 24 video conference held in the region to promote textile and clothing and other labor-intensive industries to promote employment, it was learned that this year, the autonomous region strives to achieve 80 thousand new jobs in the textile and garment industry (including Corps), and 15 thousand new jobs in labor-intensive enterprises such as consumer electronics production, shoes and hats, bags, toys, wigs and leather goods.

Since the beginning of this year, our region has made good use of the preferential policies of the state and autonomous regions for Xinjiang's textile and garment industries, and striving to overcome the impact and impact of the epidemic on textile and garment industries such as our labor intensive industries, so as to help stabilize our posts, promote employment and protect people's livelihood, and promote the high quality development of textile and garment industries. Efforts should be made to give full play to the superior resources of cotton, actively create high-quality cotton yarn production base with global competitive advantages, extend the industrial chain, and promote the development of the whole industrial chain such as spinning, weaving, printing and dyeing, clothing, industrial textiles, etc., and promote the development of labor-intensive industries such as consumer electronics, shoes and caps, bags, toys, wigs and leather goods in the four southern prefectures. We should speed up the construction of R & D and marketing centers of Urumqi's textile and garment industry, and carry out multi-level vocational skills training and personnel training, so as to further improve labor productivity.

It is understood that this year, the autonomous region will carry out 9 tasks to ensure the annual target of textile and garment employment, including implementing the policy in an all-round way, helping to tackle the poverty problem accurately, speeding up the construction of key projects, actively attracting investment, expanding exports to the west, protecting the ecological environment, enhancing the quality of talents, giving play to the role of financial support, and strengthening industrial support.

Last year, the region's textile and garment industry achieved 134 thousand and 300 new jobs, exceeding the target of 95 thousand people set out at the beginning of the year. The scale of the textile and garment industry continued to expand. As of the end of last year, 3251 textile and garment production enterprises were registered in the region, 270 new products were added to the market than the previous year, of which four in the southern Xinjiang Prefecture added 219, accounting for 81.1%.
