An Explosion Accident Occurred In The Three Plant Of The Aromatic Hydrocarbon Aromatic Hydrocarbon Plant Or The Impact Of The Price Of The Chemical Products
In April 7th, according to China news service, the three aromatic hydrocarbon plant (AROMA-3) in the 200 light industrial area of Formosa Mak Liao light industrial area (Yunlin) in Taiwan Yunlin county had a gas explosion accident on the same day at 14:05 PM.
Chen Wenyang, deputy general manager of the six light management department of Formosa Plastics, said in an interview with the media that it was understood that the LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) pipeline leak caused a fire (after burning non-toxic), and the whole plant immediately stopped isolation. At 14:40, the scene of the fire was under control, and the sprinklers continued to cool down, and the staff were still on alert.
At present, the enterprises concerned are in a state of discontinued production.
The six light is known as the "sixth sets of light oil cracking plant". It is located in the Islands type basic industrial zone in maoliao District of Yunlin county. It is invested and developed by the Formosa Plastics Group. It is the sixth light oil cracking plant in Taiwan and first private refineries in Taiwan.
However, historical news reports show that aromatics three plants and even the Taiwan plastics and six light chemical industrial zones have been experiencing various accidents in recent years.
People in the chemical industry have pointed out that at present, the consumption of PX (para xylene) in the mainland is about 10% of the PX from Taiwan, about 1 million 500 thousand tons per year.
The annual production capacity of the three sets of PX units in Yunlin maoliao plant is about 1 million 720 thousand tons. If the three sets of units are shut down, or the output of PX will be around 140 thousand tons per month.
Therefore, analysts have pointed out that once the accident in Yunlin Mailiao plant in the Formosa Plastics industry has been suspended for too long, the tight supply will provide support for the prices of chemical products such as PX and PTA in the two quarter.
