New Invention: Duedilatte Developed Anti Allergy And Softer Milk Based Fiber

Casein in milk is very similar to protein in wool. The process of making milk based fabrics is also very similar to cheese making.

The factory will make powder from the casein extracted from milk and make the powder into fiber through a special machine, like making marshmallow.

The fibers made are pure white, and Duedilatte will use strawberries or coffee as natural dyes to dye the fibers according to their needs.

The milk by-product after casein can be used to feed animals, and it will not cause waste at all.

Milk based fiber not only revived the expired milk, but also reduced the use of water resources.

The production of 1 kilograms of cotton fiber requires 50 liters of water, while the production of 1 kilograms of milk based fiber requires only 1 liters of water.

Antonella Bellina says that Italy wastes 30 million tons of milk and dairy products every year, so they can collect free milk expired from many places, which greatly reduces the cost of fiber research and development and production.

The idea of making fiber from milk is no longer news.

In the early twentieth Century, German chemist Frederick Todtenhaupt tried to make milk instead of silk, but failed.

It wasn't until the 30s of last century that engineer Antonio Ferretti succeeded in producing cloth with milk.

With the support of dictator Mussolini, Italy textile company SNIA Viscosa began to make large quantities of fabrics with milk as raw materials, and also sold patents to Germany, Belgium, Japan and the United Kingdom.

In 1937, the film company British Path e (British EMI) filmed the same line: "people in the future need to choose whether to drink milk or wear milk."

But at that time, the milk based fabric was not as soft and durable as the wool, and there was a thread to run out when it was ironed, so it was quickly eliminated by more durable and cheaper synthetic fabrics.

The technology used by Duedilatte perfectly solves the shortcomings of milk based fabrics, making them not only sensitive, antibacterial, soft, but also moisturizing to the skin.

In order to enable consumers to experience the greatest advantages of fabrics, the brand's current products are mainly neutral T-shirts.

Recently, they also developed baby clothes.

T-shirts cost around $50 and baby clothes are around $30.

Antonella Bellina said that although the textile industry is the main business in Tuscany, the expansion of the market is still very difficult.

The first three years of brand creation were mainly devoted to research and product development without expanding the market.

Beginning in 2018, the market began to accept milk based fabrics.

At present, brand clothing is only sold in Italy boutiques, but will soon expand in other areas.
