IFDC competition entries were selected by the International Footwear Association CIFA and fourteen Member States and regions. The judges of this competition are from China, Thailand, Malaysia, India and other countries and regions, the China Leather Association.

In this regard, the size of this exhibition shoe machine hall has been driven by the production enterprises' demand for the upgrading of advanced shoemaking technology and equipment, and the overall exhibition area of shoes and leather machinery has increased by 10% over the previous period.

At the same time, the general assembly also invited the international doctorate of metal processing and mechanical engineering to lecture on industry 4, analyzing how the shoe and leather enterprises can take the road of pformation and upgrading.

According to the organizers, the Guangzhou international shoe and leather exhibition provides a one-stop technology and trade platform for the upper and lower reaches of the shoe leather industry. More than 30 thousand professional buyers from more than 60 countries and regions are expected to purchase the latest equipment and technology, materials and accessories.

According to the prospective database data, the export value of footwear in China in April 2017 amounted to US $4 billion 52 million, an increase of 6.42% over the same month. The total export volume in 1-4 months was US $15 billion 41 million 900 thousand, representing an increase of 1.57% over the same period last year.

At present, the development of China's footwear industry is in a critical period of continuous pformation of new and old power and positive remodeling of new competitive advantages. China is the world's largest footwear producer, but the homogenization of domestic products has been serious. Low price competition has led to inadequate domestic footwear brand construction and low international competitiveness. The domestic footwear industry has long been pformed.

At present, to change the present situation of shoemaking industry, the fundamental solution lies in innovation, developing towards the direction of refined production, and upgrading to the middle and high end of the industrial chain.

The government should encourage enterprises to strengthen innovation. Enterprises should strengthen confidence, strengthen independent innovation research and development, gain competitive advantage with intellectual property rights, update the traditional concepts of production methods and marketing methods, push forward brand building, innovate footwear industry and develop brand.
