The concept of functional footwear originated in Japan and then spread to Taiwan.

Since last year, many enterprises in Quanzhou began to test children's "functional shoes" and set up professional R & D teams. Some children's shoes enterprises have also cooperated with Taiwan enterprises, and invited Taiwan experts to take pulse for functional shoes.

Xu Ximing: from the concept, functional shoes are divided into two categories. The first category is the breakdown of various functions, such as outdoor waterproof shoes, tennis shoes, basketball shoes, running shoes, etc. the second category is the health shoes realized by various technologies such as mechanics and medicine.

The first category has developed fairly well, and the functional footwear we are talking about now refers mainly to second categories.

Take our company as an example, mainly through biomechanics to achieve scientific arch support, achieve skeleton balance, let feet return to the most comfortable state.

In fact, Taiwan started organic footwear seventeen or eight years ago, but in recent years, consumer acceptance has reached a relatively high level.

At present, the customers of functional shoes in Taiwan are mainly two groups: children and middle-aged and elderly people. The former is to prevent various foot problems, and the latter is to alleviate many problems through health care.

Reporter: it is said that at present, there are many enterprises in Quanzhou to cooperate with you. What are the main aspects of cooperation?

Since last year, we have been working with several shoe manufacturers in Jinjiang, including design, insole customization and intelligent shoe selection.

However, Quanzhou shoe enterprises have been quite perfect in the design of shoes. Most of us only make fine adjustments. At present, the most important thing is to set up intelligent shoes selection system for these enterprises through various devices.

There are great differences in the requirements of shoes for different posture and foot shape, but it is difficult to realize the concept of functional shoes by mass production of the current assembly line.

At present, we will get more omnidirectional foot data by optical dynamic plantar pressure detector, static foot scanner, 3D foot surface scanner and so on.

According to these data, in design, corresponding compensation will be made to meet the needs of customers.

In the future, the pipeline will be subdivided into more niche production lines.

Reporter: so many companies are targeting the "functional shoes" market, trying to make their own innovations. How do you think you can get rid of the tight encirclement?

Xu Ximing: I think this is a learning process, just like 3D printing when it comes out, but only when we find the real match point can we succeed.

Although the mainland is at its early stage, I believe I will catch up with it soon.

Now all enterprises are talking about innovation and differentiation. You see that the functional shoes on the market have so many functions, such as mechanics, medicine, massage, infrared rays, etc.

Differentiation is right, but sometimes I feel a little worried.

The differentiated IDEA of functional shoes should be certified by scientific research and supported by enough scientific theories, rather than created by someone's brainwave.

Otherwise, these functions can not only promote health, but also damage the human body. This is what enterprises and consumers should realize.
