Recently, Peru Foreign Trade Association (COMEX) general manager Ferre Ross published a signed article explaining the recent export situation in Peru and appealed to the government to simplify the existing laws and examination and approval, and promote the growth of Peru's textile industry and handicraft industry.

An important performance of Peru's economic downturn in recent months has been the decline in exports. In the first 5 months of this year, Peru's exports decreased by 11.6% compared to the same period last year.

Among them, accounting for Peru The total exports of 66% of the traditional exports declined significantly, down 18% from the same period last year. The non-traditional areas with high added value and the most stimulating employment increased by 7.3%. The export of agriculture, fishery and textile industry increased by 28%, 27.8% and 3.3% respectively, with outstanding results.

Ferre Ross believes that in the traditional field, the Peru government should be more active in promoting economic stimulus measures, for the field of high value-added export products, such as textile industry Peru has a lot of international competitive products, the handicraft industry, the jewelry industry, and so on. Now the government needs to simplify legal procedures and approval to make enterprises more competitive.

At present, Peru enterprises have complicated procedures for engaging in commercial activities, and government departments such as labor and taxation have issued tough policies from time to time to increase investment barriers and bring unnecessary expenses to enterprises. To maintain and make non-traditional exports continue to grow, the Peru government should support and help the development of non-traditional export enterprises.
