The government of Pakistan will take effective measures to protect the country's BT cotton, because in the current cotton season, Pakistan's BT cotton has a bumper harvest.

Saeed, Federal Minister of textile industry in Pakistan, said that the output of cotton will double as a result of planting BT cotton.

The government has begun a professional investigation into the development of the cotton industry and cotton priority planting areas. In addition, strategic measures have been made to stimulate cotton farmers and exporters to focus on BT cotton.

Saeed Khan said that the government has already started a development plan. According to the plan, 40 thousand unskilled labor will learn technology and work in the local industry.

At present, the plan will extend to other two level sectors, including cotton gin, weaving and processing, which can help these departments acquire skilled labor.
