Italy's "24 hours Sun" reported on February 26th, according to the data released by Italy Footwear Association, in 2007, the output value of Italy footwear industry reached 7 billion 407 million euros, an increase of 2.9% over the same period last year.

The footwear industry in Italy has increased significantly in terms of exports, with 246 million pairs of shoes exported year-on-year, an increase of 1.1% over the previous year, with an export volume of 6 billion 934 million euros, an increase of 7% over the same period last year.

Italy's trade surplus reached 3 billion 200 million euros.
