French Leather Textile Sales Rose 1.7% In September

Data released by Insee23, France's National Bureau of statistics, showed that consumer spending rose 0.1% in September to 5.8% in the past year, and the median is expected to decline 0.5% years to 4.8%.

(Insee23) data released by the French National Bureau of statistics on October 23rd showed that consumer spending in France increased slightly over the month in September, exceeding expectations.

In September, consumer spending rose by 5.8% in 0.1% months, and economists expected a median decline of 0.5% years to 4.8%.

In August, consumer spending rose by 2.9% in 0.7% years.

In September, auto sales fell 2.2% years to 4.5% in the month, and sales of household goods rose 0.8% years to 16.3%.

In September, durable goods expenditure fell 0.5% years to 10.2%.

Leather and textile sales rose 1.7% years to 9.6%, while sales of other manufactured goods increased by 1.3% over the same year.

According to data released on Insee9 28, consumer confidence declined more than expected in September, because families are more pessimistic about the future living standards of France.
