Guangdong provincial quality supervision conducted a total of 80 batches of toys produced by 80 enterprises in 11 regions, namely, Guangzhou, Shantou, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Shenzhen, Heyuan, Qingyuan, Jiangmen, Jiangmen, Jiangmen and so on, and 78 batches were tested.

According to the introduction, the spot checks were carried out on the basis of GB6675-2003 national toy safety technical specification and GB5296.5-2006 consumer product instructions: the fifth part: toys and product's express quality requirements. The main inspection items are the physical and mechanical properties, firing properties, chemical properties, signs and instructions of the toys themselves.

Among them, the cat money box (white) produced by Sunco Electronics (Huizhou) Co., Ltd. failed to pass spot checks because of its thin packaging film.

If thin films are used for playing by children, they can easily cover children's face or be absorbed on the face and cause suffocation risk.

The main reason for the failure is the use of poor quality film packaging bags in order to reduce costs.

In Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, Zhongshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Shantou and other 7 prefecture level cities, 97 enterprises produced 100 batches of children and infant clothing products. After examination, only 72 batches were qualified, 28% of the products had quality problems, and only 3 batches of rejected products were identified.

Although the national mandatory standards do not assess the extractable heavy metals, the standards for infant extractive metals clearly stipulate the limits of extractable heavy metals.

A total of 4 batches of extractable heavy metals were inspected. The results showed that the heavy metal (arsenic) content of 1 batches of products was 0.396mg/kg, nearly two times the standard 0.20mg/kg limit value, and the products were seriously unqualified.

Infants like to put their clothes in their mouths and chew. After vigorous exercise, they often use their clothes to wipe away sweat from their faces. There are many opportunities for clothing materials to contact with children's skin, eyes and even oral cavity.
