The report on "China's industrial environment change and Korean textile industry coping strategy" released by the 22 Research Institute, said that the market share of Korean textiles in China dropped from 20.3% in 2000 to 12.8% in 2009, ranking third in Japan and Taiwan.

The Fair Trade Commission of Korea announced the latest commodity list of price monitoring on 29 July. The price monitoring objects increased from 11 kinds of goods to 30 kinds. The new 19 items were imported game machines, digital cameras, LCD/LED TV, netbooks and iPhone mobile phones, 5 kinds of digital products, 5 kinds of food such as mineral water, ice cream, fried chicken, chocolate, cheese, 5 kinds of daily necessities such as children's clothing, baby carriage, shampoo, essence, baby lotion, and 4 kinds of health care products such as Johnson, Guo Minshuang (atopy Cream), disposable soft contact lenses and digital blood pressure monitor.

Reported that the above 19 commodities are newly included in the price monitoring target because these products are bringing new consumption patterns to people, becoming closer and closer to people's lives, while their selling prices in Korea are higher than those in foreign countries.
