In July 30th, the news reported that the export of leather garments in Pakistan from 2009 to 10 fiscal year (July 2009 to June 2010) was $860 million, which was 10.31% lower than that in the 2008 - 09 fiscal year.

In the fiscal year 2007-08, the export volume of the leather industry reached US $1 billion 250 million.

Leather exports continued to slide due to the deterioration of the domestic economic situation and the impact of terrorism.

Leather products

Exports have declined to varying degrees, and only exports of raw leather and leather products have increased.

Among them, the export of raw skins increased by 12.57% to 337 million US dollars over the same period, mainly due to the increased demand for raw materials in China, India and Vietnam.

The deputy prime minister said the two sides will promote in-depth cooperation in oil, natural gas and mining, as well as cooperation in textile, clothing, silk and leather processing industries, and the two sides have signed a new agreement on this goal.
