CIRC: Coverage Of Agricultural Insurance Is Expected To Expand.
The serious impact of frequent natural disasters on agriculture has made it increasingly urgent to develop and improve agricultural insurance.
Yesterday (June 3rd), the CIRC issued the circular on further improving the work of agricultural insurance in 2010 (hereinafter referred to as "notice"), calling for insurance companies to expand the coverage of agricultural insurance and do a good job in disaster prevention and mitigation.
The notice pointed out that in 2010, the central financial policy will increase the support for agriculture, and the catalogue of subsidies will also be further expanded.
The circular requires that all local insurance regulatory bureaus and related insurance companies should further improve the insurance clauses, reasonably formulate rates, cooperate with spring ploughing production, and strive to grasp the farming time and do well the underwriting work for wheat, rice, corn, cotton and oil crops.
We should further expand the coverage of insurance for sows, fattening pigs, cows and forests.
In particular, in line with the state's macroeconomic regulation and control policy, efforts should be made to improve the insurance of sows and continue to implement the requirements of "ensuring the safety of all sows".
The notice also pointed out that the new central finance subsidy subsidy scheme should be developed as soon as possible, and the insurance products should be developed as soon as possible.
For local pillar agriculture and special agriculture, especially meat, eggs, milk, fish, fruit, vegetables and other "vegetable basket" products, we should actively carry out pilot projects, expand the coverage of important "vegetable basket" product insurance in the suburbs and main production areas of large and medium-sized cities, and achieve full coverage under conditions where conditions permit, so as to provide a strong risk guarantee for the development of local characteristic agriculture.
In addition, the notice also pointed out that we should adhere to standardized management, do well in disaster prevention and mitigation work, and actively carry out innovation.
