The Spanish National Pavilion and the British National Pavilion in World Expo, Shanghai, together with the international architectural awards of the Royal Institute of architects in 2010, have taken up two seats in the 12 awards.

The Royal Institute of architects Awards (International Institute of Architects) aims to recognize outstanding architectural projects of its members around the world, including foreign architectural firm projects, construction projects in foreign countries, and outside the European Union in the UK's national construction firms.

Since the opening of World Expo in Shanghai, the Spanish Pavilion and the British pavilion have been widely appreciated by the media, the public and the experts and critics in the construction industry.

The Spanish Pavilion incorporates the latest technology in the traditional material natural woven rattan, covering the exterior walls of the exhibition hall with rattan plates, supporting 8524 pieces of rattan plate with a 25000 meter long steel tube, and creating magnificent and unique visual effects for tourists on an unprecedented scale, which is nicknamed "the Spanish basket" by tourists.

The British Pavilion, nicknamed "Dandelion", has the biggest highlight of its giant seed hall composed of 60 thousand pparent acrylic rods containing plant seeds. These tentacle seeds have a tiny colored light source at the top and can be combined into various patterns and colors.

All tentacles will shake slightly with the wind, making the pavilion's surface a variety of changeable luster and color.

It is reported that the Royal Institute of architects awards will be held in London in June 29th.
