The establishment meeting of the sub committee (hereinafter referred to as the sportswear branch) was held at Anta.

The conference held the first round of discussions on the first standard system of sportswear in China.

The conference was organised by the National Textile Industry Association, from the China National Standardization Management Committee, the China Textile Industry Association, the national knitting product quality supervision and inspection center, the Shanghai Clothing Research Institute and other units, and representatives of more than 30 sports apparel manufacturers from Anta, PEAK, seven wolves, Lining, Binxing and Conway attended the conference.

Yang Shibin, director of the sub committee, said that the standard contents needed to be compiled include general standards and corresponding product standards.

The general standards are divided into general technical requirements for sports competitions, sports safety products, textile safety technical requirements and award dress requirements. The product standards are divided into four categories: "sportswear", "civilian sports apparel", "functional protective clothing" and "sports socks" according to sports items, usage characteristics and functional methods.

With the upgrading of market demand, the industry is in urgent need of an industry standard.

He said, with the improvement of sports competitive level in our country, the market has put forward higher requirements for the quality, material and technology level of all kinds of sportswear. But at present, there are few product standards of sportswear in China. The standard of the basic items, terms, safety and test methods of sportswear products in the whole industry is basically blank. Therefore, it is urgent to formulate national standards and industry standards for sports apparel with certain foresight, pertinence and maneuverability to standardize the product quality of sports apparel industry and promote the development of sports industry in China.

Once the industry standard is promulgated, it will set up a threshold for the industry to prevent the market of products that are not up to the standard of technology, and also require enterprises with insufficient technology and equipment to improve their technical management level.

On the other hand, the industry standard is a kind of technical protection for the standard production enterprises.

For enterprises, only by constantly strengthening the technology foresight ability, improving the influence of products on the market and the industry standard, and actively striving for the formulation of the standards, can we improve the competitiveness of enterprises.
