Sewing Machinery Industry 1-10 Months Import And Export Survey
In the 1-10 month of 2008, China's sewing machinery industry totaled 19 billion 100 million yuan in total industrial output value, down 21.1% from the same period last year, and completed industrial sales value of 18 billion 500 million yuan, down 22.2% from the same period last year. The cumulative production of sewing machinery industry 9 million 970 thousand units, down 20.9%.
The total import and export trade of sewing machinery and spare parts in China in 2008 1-10 amounted to US $1 billion 540 million, down 6.1% from the same period last year. Among them, exports of US $1 billion 280 million, an increase of 3% over the same period last year, an increase of 8 percentage points, and an import of 260 million US dollars, down 34.5% from the same period last year, and the decline has fallen 27 percentage points.
The total exports of sewing machines were 9 million 200 thousand, down 7.9% compared with the same period last year, and the export volume was 1 billion 130 million US dollars, up 2.1% over the same period last year. Among them, the embroidery machine exported 56 thousand units, a year-on-year decrease of 13.5%, an export volume of US $330 million, an increase of 13.9% over the same period last year, and 6 million 834 thousand outlets for domestic sewing machines, a decrease of 10.4% over the same period last year, with an export volume of US $290 million, an increase of 3.8% over the same period last year. Export sewing machine spare parts $150 million, an increase of 9.9% over the same period.
The total import of sewing machinery and components was 260 million US dollars, down 34.5% compared to the same period last year. Among them, 110 thousand sewing machines imported, down 45.8% compared to the same period, and the import volume was 160 million US dollars, down 35% compared with the same period last year. Imports of sewing machine spare parts 100 million US dollars, down 34% compared to the same period last year.
