Vietnam'S Clothing And Textile Enterprises Call On The Government To Help Expand Exports.

Recently, Hu Zhiming textile, clothing, weaving and embroidery Association (Agtek) held a meeting to pay special attention to consumer goods, price rise of raw materials, and the weakness of the US dollar.

Pham Xuan Hong, vice president of Agtek Association, said that inflation and the weakening of the US dollar had great impact on many industries, including the clothing and textile industry, especially the production behavior of clothing and textile enterprises.

Mr Hong said that in the context of a weaker dollar and rising prices, if a company exports $10 million, the company will lose 10 billion Dong Dong.

In addition, soaring prices forced companies to raise wages and ensure that their standard of living did not decline.

Another industry expert said that although clothing and textile enterprises did not earn enough money, they created about 2 million jobs and largely stabilized social welfare.

Therefore, it is necessary to provide help for textile and garment enterprises from the overall economic management institutions to overcome their current difficulties.

Experts say, first of all, enterprises should restructure, reduce workers and improve production efficiency. Second, the government must help them to overcome the current difficulties.

Diep Thanh Kiet, vice president of Agtek, said that the association will propose some measures and suggestions for the current situation.

First, banks should repurchase the US dollar of export contracts at the highest paction costs.

In order to promote import and export activities, banks should provide loans at the lowest paction costs.

In addition, trade union costs and other similar costs must be abolished to raise wages for workers.

At present, the government is seeking advice from enterprises to amend the draft corporate income tax law.

We must reduce corporate income tax this year.

Pham Xuan Hong said that all measures should be based on the common interests of enterprises, workers, consumers and the state.

That is why appropriate measures should be made for market demand and market volatility.
