Indonesia Textile Surface Accessories Exhibition Will Be Held In Jakarta In April Next Year.

Sponsored by Indonesia Textile Association and Peraga Nusantara Jaya Sakti, the fourteenth Indonesian textile fabric accessories exhibition jointly hosted by Indonesian industrial and trade department and Indonesian textile association will be held in from April 20th to 23rd next year.

The exhibition covers all kinds of clothing machinery and textiles, and can greatly promote our textile enterprises to enter the Indonesian market, participate in international competition, and carry out important technological exchanges between China and foreign countries.

Exhibition background: why Indonesia, Indonesia's textile, clothing and accessories industry is experiencing an unprecedented rapid development. This rapid development speed has exceeded the needs of Indonesia. It has become the largest industrial sector in Indonesia's newly rising foreign exchange reserves.

The textile industry is an important industry in Indonesia. Of the 94 million employed population in Indonesia, 12% are concentrated in the manufacturing sector (about 11 million 300 thousand people), while the textile industry accounts for about 15% of the manufacturing sector (about 1 million 750 thousand people, excluding 2 million of the indirectly employed population).

Over the past 10 years, an average of more than $5 billion has been earned annually for Indonesia.

Indonesia's Ministry of industry statistics showed that in 2008, Indonesia's textile exports amounted to US $11 billion and reached US $11 billion 800 million in 2009. It is estimated that Indonesia's textile exports will reach US $13 billion 880 million in 2010, which can earn a surplus of US $11 billion 700 million. We expect to add 2 million 250 thousand jobs in 2010 and add 6 million 170 thousand jobs in 2030.

The textile industry has always been the largest exporter of oil and gas outside Indonesia.

Indonesia produces textiles and garments for 70% exports. Its two largest export markets are the United States and the European Union (about 60% of total exports).

Sino Indonesian Economic and trade relations:

Indonesia's major trading partners are mainly concentrated in the Asia Pacific region, including China, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia, with the exception of the European Union and the United States.

In recent years, due to the rapid development of China's economy, China's trade status with Indonesia has been rising. Now it has risen from the fifth largest trading partner of Indonesia to fourth, and has become the third largest importer of Indonesia after Japan and the United States.

The Indonesian government attaches great importance to this development momentum and has set up the Indonesian China trade special group headed by the Minister of trade and industry.

The group aims at strengthening guidance, formulating short-term policies, further implementing the signed economic and trade cooperation agreements, promoting cooperation and exchanges between the two business circles, creating and improving the trade environment, so as to promote the development of bilateral trade.
