Basic Knowledge Of Fabric 1- Non-Woven Fabrics

Because it is a fabric that does not need spinning and weaving. It is only directional or random strut of textile staple fiber or filament, forming a web structure, and then reinforced by mechanical, thermal or chemical methods.

To put it simply, it is not interwoven or woven together by a single yarn. Instead, the fibers are directly bonded to each other through physical means, so when you get the sticky weight in your clothes, you will find that you can't get a thread out of it.

Nonwoven fabrics break through the traditional textile principle, and have the characteristics of short process flow, fast production speed, high output, low cost, wide use, and many sources of raw materials.

Its main uses can be roughly divided into:

(1) medical and health services: surgical gowns, protective clothing, disinfectant cloth, mask, diapers, sanitary napkins, etc.

(2) household decoration cloth: wall covering, tablecloth, sheets, bedspreads and so on;

(3) with the use of cloth: lining, adhesive lining, floc, stereotypes cotton, all kinds of synthetic leather cloth and so on;

(4) industrial cloth: filter materials, insulation materials, cement packaging bags, geotextiles, coated fabrics, etc.

(5) agricultural cloth: crop protection cloth, seedling raising cloth, irrigation cloth, thermal curtain, etc.

(6) others: Space cotton, thermal insulation and sound insulation materials, oil absorbing felt, cigarette filter, bag, tea bag and so on.

Classification of non-woven fabrics:

Spunlaced nonwovens: Spunlaced technology is to spray high pressure tiny water streams onto one or more layers of fiber network, so that fibers intertwine together, so that the mesh can be strengthened and has a certain strength.

Two, heat bonded non-woven fabric: heat bonded non-woven fabric refers to adding fibrous or powdered hot-melt bonding reinforcement material into the mesh, and the mesh is further strengthened by heating, melting and cooling.

Three, pulp airflow net non-woven fabric: airflow mesh non-woven fabric can also be called dust-free paper, dry papermaking non-woven fabric.

It uses air net forming technology to break the wood pulp fiber board into a single fiber state, and then uses the airflow method to make the fiber agglomerate on the net curtain, and the mesh is further reinforced into cloth.

Four. Wet non-woven fabric: wet non-woven fabric is loosened into single fiber in the water medium, and mixed with different fiber materials to make fiber suspension slurry. Suspension slurry is pported to the mesh forming mechanism, and the fiber is reinforced into cloth under wet condition.

Five. Spunbonded nonwovens: spunbonded nonwovens are formed after the polymer has been extruded and stretched to form continuous filament. The filament is laid into a mesh, and the mesh is made of non-woven fabrics through its own adhesion, thermal bonding, chemical bonding or mechanical reinforcement.

Six, melt blown non-woven fabric: melt blown non-woven process: polymer feeding - melt extrusion - fiber formation - fiber cooling - mesh - reinforcement cloth.

Seven. Needle punched nonwoven fabric: needle punched nonwoven fabric is a kind of dry non-woven fabric. Needle punched nonwoven fabric is made by using the puncture effect of needles, and the bulky mesh is reinforced into cloth.

Eight, stitched woven non-woven fabric: stitched woven non-woven fabric is a kind of dry non-woven fabric. The stitching method is to make use of warp knitting coil structure to reinforce the mesh, yarn layer, non-woven material (such as plastic sheet, plastic thin metal foil, etc.) or their combination so as to make non-woven fabrics.
